Summary: Murkong Selek College organized an Institutional Level Speech Competition under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, providing students an opportunity to express their ideas on renewable energy, sustainable development, and inclusive growth.
Murkong Selek College organized an Institutional Level Speech Competition on 25th September 2026 under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The competition was organized to encourage students to develop awareness, critical thinking, and effective communication on important contemporary issues related to renewable energy and sustainable development.
The competition was conducted in two categories. Category II was open to students of Classes IX to XII, with the topic “Renewable Energy: India’s Journey towards a Sustainable Future.” Category III was open to undergraduate students, with the topic “Renewable Energy in India: Scaling Solar, Wind and Green Hydrogen for Inclusive Growth.” Each participant was allotted four minutes to deliver the speech.
The programme provided a meaningful platform for students to articulate their ideas and perspectives on India’s transition towards clean and renewable sources of energy. Through their participation, students highlighted the importance of renewable energy, environmental sustainability, technological advancement, and inclusive development in shaping the future of the nation.
The first, second, and third position holders of the Institutional Level Competition were selected for progression to the subsequent levels of the competition. The selected participants will have the opportunity to represent Murkong Selek College at the LAC Level, followed by the District Level and State Level competitions as applicable.
The competition concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from the students. The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to encouraging informed dialogue, environmental consciousness, public speaking skills, and active participation of young people in matters of national importance.
