Summary: A welcoming programme for newly admitted students.

A one-day webinar to commemorate National Science Day was organized by the Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with IQAC and the Science Forum of Murkong Selek College, Jonai, on 22 December 2025. The programme was graced by Dr. Nazeer Ansari, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, VIT Chennai, and Dr. Rinchin Drema, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, Arunachal Pradesh University, as the resource persons. The respected Principal and other faculty members of the college also delivered lectures on the occasion, marking the birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar and highlighting his immense contributions to the field of mathematics. Students actively participated in the celebration and engaged in meaningful interactions with the resource persons and faculty members, gaining valuable insights into the mathematical sciences. The celebration was a resounding success, fostering a deeper interest in the subject and encouraging students to pursue their interests in mathematics.
