The department of the bodo is one of the important departments in Murkong Selek College. It was introduced in the year 2018 for the greater interest of the students. Before the introduction of the department formally the students had to appear in the bodo subject. At the outset the department was introduced only for MIL subject in general course which was the long standing demand of the students community in general. Since the inception of the department the students passed in the concerned subject having good score of marks.
Subsequently, in the year 2019 under the due initiative of the department concerned the bodo selective course was also introduced in the bodo department of murkongselek college with due permission of honourable governing body (G.B.) of the college soon after the introduction of the course the students have been opted an one of the elective subjects in the BA examination and able to success in the said examination in every year. The bodo language literature and culture is being taught in the bodo department as its course contents’.
As you know that, All the said course for bodo language literature were followed under the syllabus of Dibrugarh University tail date in MS College, jonai. There are around twenty (20) students in per semester in any class. But here we din’t found any pare permission for the major subject in Bodo language in our college, as student demand.
